Hi,
My name is Jimmy, I am a senior devops engineer, but this is only by trade.
I have a few interests and was looking for an audience to listen to my ramblings – I failed. I have decided to write them down instead, so expect updates about the following.
Life in general – Generally speaking there is always something going on, I am grateful to be sharing my time on this spinning ball of rock / iron with my friends and family.
- Cars – I have an ( some would say, unhealthy) obsession with cars, I love the American ones, the European ones, the Japanese ones, the custom ones, the standard ones, the broken ones and the ones working. And everything in between.
- Computers – I have always been interested in computing, not so much about games, but about how they work. This has lead to me tinkering with them, upgrading them and recently writing software.
- Electronics – Arduinos, analogue, pis etc. I started with the humble 555 and other CMOS chips and then expanded into Arduino and other microprocessors.
- The outdoors, I am a Beaver leader for our local scout group, in my youth I was part of the same group and though them I got to love camping and hiking in the outdoors. I love the group.
- Music – By default I’m interested in rock and metal, but I have been known to enjoy just about everything, even some Hip-Hop, but this is rare.
